On each CANVAS all of the 4 side edges are printed in black so that each 1 1/2 inch deep side edge is black when it is pulled tight during stretching on wood bars. An alternative is to print no color leaving all white side edges. A purchaser may choose the preferred treatment.

When the image is printed on watercolor paper there is no special edge treatment, although these prints are printed with a 1 inch white space border around all 4 sides.
