THESE ARE ALL UNIQUE SINGLE ORIGINAL WORKS. THEY ARE ARRIVED AT ALSO IN PHOTOSHOP USING THE PAINT TOOLS BUT FOLLOWING A DIFFERENT PROCEEDURE TO CREATE PHYSICALLY LAYERED PIECES.

Initially the image is created in Photoshop and has 3 to 5 layers. Then printing on canvas occurs. It starts with a bottom canvas layer which is then stretched on 36"x36" heavy duty stretcher bars (1.5" deep). In some cases the canvas is backed by 1/4" black foam core board so that some areas can be cut out. Then several more layers are printed onto canvas and glued onto black foamcore board, and then the shapes are cut out with a sharp knife. When 2 to 3 layers are completed these are glued onto each other to create to final physically layered work

What are Giclee Prints?

A Giclee print is an ART QUALITY PRINT. It is an exceptional high quality ink print made on a high end professional wide format printer by a highly skilled print maker. Materials and inks used are of superior quality and intended to achieve both stunning appearance and excellent display life. Giclee prints are available here on both high quality canvas and watercolor paper.

I prefer to make Giclee prints on canvas because I believe that in this way they gain more of a physical presence. I also am able to achieve more vivid coloration which is important to me. Also because the canvas prints are stretched on wood stretcher bars the image surface projects 1-1/2 inches out from the wall plane.
